Terror, Mosquito

Well it's been a while kind of.
Colombia is beautiful, there's so much shit happening it's sad.
Maybe over there in the states people haven't heard about the 11 diplomats that were assasinated by the FARC (fuerzas armadas revolucionarias de Colombia--or the armed revolutionary forces of colombia).

I understand that one must criticize the government, but for once I can't help but feel sorry fot it.

The FARC came to existance with a good ideology, to beat the government with its tyranny, to help the poor... but as time went on the FARC became more and more corrupt, began killing innocent people, got itself into drug trafficking...
of course people expect the PARAmilitary to do something about it and finish the terrorism of the FARC
but they end up being worse and more corrupt.

It stresses me out because I love my country, I would die for it, and I want to fix it so damn bad... but shit if I try to do anything for it I would end getting me, my family, and probably others killed.

Well that's it for my polotical talk of the day...
oh yeah if you go to their website (they actually have a pretty nice website) you can tell that they've got some mart people involved in it... I mean... I don't know I guess they're pretty good at convincing and for this reason I can see why people that are way below poverty line want to get into it- they get fed, they get taken care of, they feel important.

As of the weekend I went to a military club resort thing at Melgar and it was pretty hot at least after being in Bogota for a week freezing my buttocks off.
I got to meet this kid who is studying the same stuff I want to study in college and it was cool because we talked about politics, music, people, countries, travel...
it was the best talk I've had in a long while... no offense homeboy.
I also got eaten alive by mosquitos... I'm dying from this undying itch on my legs, my back, my stomach, my arms...
